In the photo: Dr. Leider (standing, right). In March 1941, 41 work horses were brought to the Lodz Ghetto, intended for transporting food. Dr. Leider inspected these horses, and the building Department built stables for them at 23 Marysinska Street. (Source: Ghetto Fighters' House Archives)
